A room full of mats, and props, spaced out. The room is modern, bright, spacious. There are plantsright at the back, along with coloured chakra crystal bowls, and a beautiful altar in front of it. The altar has a mother earth orament on a little pillow, and there is a reef surrounding her. In front of this ornament, there are oracle cards laid out.

YOGA FOR THE BLIND

I became a teacher to share holistic practices with those often excluded from them — especially people with health conditions, those who are blind on a spectrum, and neurodivergent individuals. I’m committed to meeting each person where they are, always learning and adapting, with the understanding that even shared diagnoses come with unique experiences and needs.”

Nazan is dedicated to creating inclusive spaces for blind individuals and is working on creating more opportunities for this particular community.

This image shows Nazan teaching a group of people at LOOKFEST. LOOKFEST is a festival for blind children, teenagers, and tehir families. The class is set in a large yurt, filled with people. (Maybe around 8-10 people). The people are on mats, practicing various poses, as Nazan is placed central, teaching from the back of the yurt (large tent). This is a close up photo, as if peaking through the small opening of the yurt.

THE POWER OF COMMUNITY

Group sessions provide an enriching experience by fostering a sense of community and shared energy. They are also a more budget-friendly option compared to one-to-one sessions, making them an accessible way to enjoy the benefits of yoga, and sound healing.
